A local artist, Vincent Noyce was born in Portsmouth in 1968, and after moving away to boarding school in Suffolk and joining the Royal Navy in 1987 he returned to live with his wife Claire in 1993.
Vince has always been interested in art and drawing, but did not pick up a paintbrush with any real conviction until early 2004. A predominantly self taught artist, Vince did spend a very productive year under the tutelage of another local Portsmouth artist; Laurie Abrahams of Brushstrokes Gallery in Castle Road Southsea.
Still new to Oil painting Vince is developing his style, but favours the ‘Photo-realistic’ approach, allowing him the chance to create paintings with a lot of detail to scale. Always on the look out for his next work, Vince will paint just about any subject, from Portraits to Ships, but he favours Sea Scapes.
He is a serving Naval Officer and combines a busy career with painting to relax and unwind.
